Where do I start? It began with a desire to create an unconventional concept, a break from the ‘norm’ if you like. I love it when couples want to express and embrace their personalities when designing their wedding. For some, this comes naturally, but for others the help of a wedding planner is invaluable.

Trends and ideas are more accessible than ever, from Pinterest to dedicated wedding bloggers, an array of images and information at our fingertips. No two weddings needn’t be the same anymore. The need for alternative venues and wedding suppliers is increasing, with couples demanding more choice than ever.

We’ve all attended amazing weddings before and thought ‘I love this’ or ‘I must have that’ don’t feel ashamed to steal a few ideas here and there, but surely, we don’t want to have carbon copies of other people’s vision? this does not need to happen. For example, if you have fallen in love with a venue, simply style it differently to fit with the whole design and theme of your wedding.

As a planner, I love getting to know couples so that I can suggest creative ideas to plan their perfect day, a day that reflects their personalities, individual to them.

It was super exciting to hold the styled shoot at The Barns East Yorkshire. Such a versatile setting, a completely blank canvas to work with – happy days!

From the bridal gown to the flower crown, everything about this shoot was carefully constructed to showcase the amazing talents of the suppliers on the day. Bohemian feathers and lace featured heavily in this shoot, the detail in the place settings, the table plan and in the flowers brought everything together perfectly.

It was a pleasure collaborating with like-minded individuals to create exciting concepts for brides and grooms to be. I’m looking forward to the next one already! keep your eyes peeled for more inspiration…
